A little about me…
I began my career in health care over 20 years ago as a nurse. I have always enjoyed working in healthcare. I worked in aged care, public hospitals, community nursing & day surgery.
In my 20’s I discovered Chinese medicine because my GP at the time was also a Chinese medicine practitioner & she helped me with some ongoing health issues. This was the first spark of interest for me in Chinese medicine & I love it even more after 10 years as a practitioner.
I am continuously amazed by the efficacy of Chinese Medicine. If we listen to our bodies & treat it as a whole, & if we put in the time & effort required for true healing, we can expect great results. We live in a busy, modern world where people expect immediate results for very little input but this expectation doesn’t translate to the energy of the human body.
The healing of the body & mind is a process, & it requires our love & attention.
Pain & ill-health is our body/mind SCREAMING for attention.
I don’t consider my work to be “Alternative Medicine”. I believe that our healthcare system will benefit greatly if all modalities can work together in an integrative healthcare setting to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients.
I am a qualified, university trained Chinese Medicine Practitioner with a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from The University of Technology Sydney.
Personal life journey so far….
I have practiced meditation for over 25 years & I enjoy a daily spiritual practice of mindfulness & gratitude. I appreciate balance in all things & I love the fact that Chinese Medicine encompasses this balance in its approach to treatment and preventative health care.
I look forward to seeing you in my clinic in Corrimal, Wollongong.
